The state of emergency, declared on 21 July 2016 for a period of three months is in accordance with the Turkish Constitution. It will allow the government to increase its safety measures to fight against the threat directed at the fundamental rights and freedoms of its citizens.
The said measures will not limit fundamental rights and freedoms in Turkey. Measures to be implemented will not affect neither the daily life of Turkish citizens, nor the travel and holidays of foreign visitors. They do not constitute an impediment to international tourism activities and aviation.
Tourists can enjoy their holidays in all destinations in Turkey with safety.
